This set is micron gold plated which should not be confused with standard electroplating. The process used creates a micron thick coat on the sterling silver base, thus extending the life of its gold finish.

The Evil Eye
Amongst Greek superstitions, the Evil Eye is one of the oldest and widely believed myths. According to superstition, a glance of the Evil Eye is believed to have the ability to cause injury or death on those who it falls.
